Volunteering

For many years Chinnor Community First Responders have provided an emergency service as volunteers with the South Central Ambulance Service. However, as there are now only two of us we are unable to provide the level of cover that we would like, and we are now looking for some more volunteers to join the team. We fully appreciate that a community-spirited village like Chinnor offers many opportunities for volunteering and that many residents have demanding jobs which involve commuting and consequently have little time to spare. However, if you could volunteer for a few hours in the morning or afternoon it would be a great help. The training, which is provided by the ambulance service, is a valuable life skill. Elizabeth and I would warmly welcome volunteers from the new estates who would like to offer their services to the village.
